Upload your own roster (and connect a SIS, early access)

Course rosters no longer have to match our spreadsheet template.

  • School admins can upload a course roster as CSV or XLSX with their own column names and order.
  • The importer suggests column matches, previews students, courses, and enrollments, and lets you fix mismatches before commit.
  • Rows can match learners on SIS student ID as well as email, and a confirmed SIS ID writes back onto the learner record.
  • Caregiver spreadsheet uploads now name the heading problem instead of a generic processing error.
  • Invited schools can connect a SIS through Edlink and review that roster in the same preview. Sync is on demand. This is early access, not yet open to every member.

Record downloads, invites, and a college directory

A few reliability fixes, plus a public college map on mastery.org.

  • Learning record PDF download works again.
  • Educators can resend an expired learner invitation without adding the student again.
  • Schools with no sections no longer hit an error on the learners page.
  • Find colleges on mastery.org/college-acceptances. Search the directory and request a college that is not listed yet.

Evidence now travels with the student

Progress Tracker work can move onto the official record without starting over.

  • When a school admin syncs Progress Tracker to the Mastery Transcript® or learning record, approved evidence comes along with earned competencies.
  • Students can reuse files already on their Progress Tracker when they add evidence on the record.
  • One piece of evidence can map to more than one competency. Published records still read as one-to-one for college readers.
  • Publishing is blocked if no approved evidence is attached, so a draft-only record cannot go out by accident.
  • Evidence title and description fields show a live character count, so the limit is visible before save.

Sign-in and access code fixes

Smoother sign-in and working access codes.

  • Autofilled email addresses work on the first sign-in attempt — no more retyping.
  • Newly issued progress report access codes work immediately. Fresh codes could previously fail validation.

Date handling and import fixes

Fixes for date accuracy and learner imports.

  • Birthdays no longer display one day off in some timezones.
  • Dates of birth sync consistently across the platform.
  • CSV/XLSX learner imports handle non-US date formats correctly — dates of birth and enrollment dates are no longer corrupted on import.
  • CSV templates download clean, without bright red cell formatting.

Progress Tracker fixes

A round of reliability fixes in the Progress Tracker.

  • Competency order and domain colors now match between the members site and the Progress Tracker.
  • Caregivers can reliably open published Progress Trackers — an unauthorized error no longer appears.
  • Data syncs report the correct educator count.

Learning record and transcript fixes

Fixes focused on the accuracy of official learning records and published transcripts.

  • Requested competencies no longer sync as earned. Competencies a learner had requested (“raised hands”) could push to the official learning record as if they were earned. Only earned competencies sync now, and sync controls are limited to super admins.
  • “Expected” competencies now appear on externally published records.
  • Transcript PDF downloads no longer fail intermittently when a school profile section was long.
