Allow a third level in the taxonomy of competency architectures
I.E. MTC currently has Domains and Competencies. This feature would add one more level to track/roll up rubric level learning outcomes (or indicators or whatever language your school uses).

Allow for more than 7 domains (student chooses the 7 to "feature")
Currently MTC only allows schools to display 7 domains on a record - with the admissions reader in mind. Some schools track more than that.

Comments when rejecting student evidence, statement, course, credits
When admin reject a student’s request for a course / credit to be added or for a piece of evidence / student statement to be approved, there is a textbox field to be completed with comment. We have not yet determined how the comment that is added makes it to the student if it does at all. It would be really helpful if it did, best via email but at least via the platform. Admittedly, we are trusting the teenagers telling us that it doesn’t work on this one, so we welcome being corrected.

Progress Tracker sync only sends earned competencies
Syncing from the Progress Tracker to the Mastery Transcript / MLR used to push requested competencies (“raised hands”) as if they were earned, which could corrupt records used for college applications. Only earned competencies sync now. Requested work stays in the Progress Tracker until it is actually earned.

Transcript credit for skills from electives
Skills and competencies earned in electives should be able to count toward the transcript in a clear, intentional way — not only those from core courses. Schools want elective learning to show up as real transcript credit when it demonstrates mastery.

Filter the Progress Tracker by section or advisory
Teacher and graduation-year filters already shipped. Schools still need section- and advisory-level filters so educators can open just their class, house, or advisory without scanning the whole school. This was an early Progress Tracker ask and remains missing beside the filters that already exist.

Hybrid grading in the Progress Tracker
Many schools run a hybrid model: competency progress alongside traditional or course-based grades. The Progress Tracker should support that hybrid grading reality instead of forcing a pure competency-only workflow. Give schools a clear way to represent both competency evidence and course/hybrid grades in the Progress Tracker.

Reuse Progress Tracker evidence files on transcript submission
When students add evidence on the transcript or MLR, they should be able to choose files and artifacts that already exist in their Progress Tracker instead of uploading the same materials again. Reuse what is already in the Progress Tracker at submission time.

Tie earned competencies to courses
Progress Tracker competencies and evidence should connect to the courses or experiences where they were earned, the way summative records already associate evidence with experiences. That link would make filters, reporting, and registrar workflows clearer — especially for schools managing course lists alongside competency progress.

Sync Progress Tracker evidence into the transcript
When schools sync from the Progress Tracker to the Mastery Transcript / MLR, earned competencies move over, but students still have to re-curate evidence and artifacts by hand. Evidence built in the Progress Tracker should sync into the summative record so learners are not doing the same work twice on the way to college applications.

Learner-owned record after graduation
Families can already download a caregiver copy of a record while the student is enrolled. That is not the same as a learner-owned, portable credential after graduation. Graduates should keep a durable, student-owned version of their Mastery record they can take with them when they leave the school.

Secure transcript delivery to higher ed (Parchment / Common App)
Schools need a trusted way to send Mastery transcripts into the systems higher ed already uses — especially Parchment and Common App — rather than relying on one-off sharing. Secure, standard delivery to college admissions workflows is core to the Mastery Transcript value for members.

Link one piece of evidence to many competencies
A single strong piece of work often demonstrates more than one competency. Today evidence mapping is too constrained, so students and teachers either pick one link or recreate the same evidence multiple times. Allow one piece of evidence to map to many competencies (and one competency to many pieces of evidence), with a clear warning when a single artifact is linked to a large number of competencies.

Admin dashboards for school usage and Progress Tracker heatmaps
CSV export helps after the fact. What schools still need is a live view of who is actually using the tools: per-school dashboards, usage visibility, and Progress Tracker heatmaps that show activity and gaps without exporting a spreadsheet. Admins should be able to see adoption and engagement at a glance so they can coach staff and learners before renewal, not discover non-use months later.

In-product onboarding and activation path
Too many schools pay for Mastery and never get fully activated. Staff do not know where to start, login and sign-in paths are confusing, and there is no guided path from first login to a working Progress Tracker and transcript workflow. We need an in-product onboarding and activation experience for school admins and staff: clear first steps, less sign-in confusion, and a path that turns a new school into an active one.

Hide the Advanced Credit catalog from learners
We need a toggle to block specific users, ideally learners, from seeing our full Advanced Credit catalog. The full list creates unhelpful and unnecessary competition given how we run crediting. Admins and faculty should still see the full catalog. Learners should only see what we choose to show them. Requested by Mindy Roth, Mastery School of Hawken. Bulk-update credits from in progress to earned
After a credit cycle, turning credits from in progress to earned currently requires opening each student profile. That does not scale. Allow an upload of a credit cycle’s results (student ID, credit, new status) that updates those records in bulk, without visiting each profile. Requested by Mindy Roth, registrar, Mastery School of Hawken. Source: https://feedback.mastery.org/p/mastery-school-of-hawken-initial-wishlist
